関西を中心に主要なクラブで活躍していた２人のDJ、Keiji ShimazakiとDJ KURACHI により日本のダンスシーンに一石を投じるべく、オリジナリティあふれるリアルなダンスミュージックをクリエイトしていこうという目的のもと'96秋、活動を開始。
In Autumn 1996, Keiji Shimazaki and DJ KURACHI who were active in a major club around Kansai(West Japan) start activity as "zero zero" under a purpose to will create real dance music.
ハウスシーンの島崎とテクノのKURACHI、２人の様々なバックグラウンドによって生み出される音楽は、ヨーロッパやアメリカなどの音楽文化の影響を受けつつもそれを消化し、独特のアジアンテイストを醸し出すオリジナリティ溢れるもので、Ashley Beadleがデモテープに一目惚れ、同氏の主宰するillsun Wrecordsから日本人初のライセンス契約1st12inchEP「Under The Moon/Phase」が97.7月にリリースされた。
同シングルは、ヨーロッパのDJ達にヘビープレイされ、イギリスのDJマガジンのダンスチャート最高位９位にまで昇り詰めるなどスマッシュヒットを記録。日本でもトップDJ達に現在もプレイし続けられるロングヒットとなる。
Before "zero zero", Shimazaki was in house scene, DJ KURACHI was in techno. They share their various background each other and flavoring Asian feeling on it.
Their demo track was caught Ashrey Beadle and he released zero zero's first 12"single "Phase / Under the Moon" from Illsun Wreckords (Afro art).
It was heavy played by many European DJ, and rises to dance chart the highest rank around 9th of DJ magazine (UK). And even Japanese DJ's still play it frequently in order to dance.
リリースを機に、２人別々でDJをしていた彼らはターンテーブル４台、ミキサー２台セットで２人でDJするという（Jam Session的な）DJ Live Setを組み込み、そのエフェクティブで１人では決して真似の出来ない独特なグルーブは各パーティで絶賛され関西のシーンに旋風を巻き起こした。
After that, they started to DJ together with four turn tables. Their play sounds very avant-garde and no one could do as them.

98年、猛躍進中の国内レーベルLYCHEE SOUNDSとリリースを検討、デモテープに収められた楽曲のクオリティとバラエティを余すとこなく伝えるために、３枚連続リリースを決定、７月にpt.1をリリースする。以後、pt.2を9月、pt.3を12月にリリース、そのいずれもが大ヒットし"Future Tracks(テレビ朝日)"ランキング８位、LOUD誌チャート14位などを記録。
東京の分散したハウス/テクノ/トランス/ファンクシーンのいずれからも熱い期待を集める存在となる。さらに一般の知名度も急上昇中。
In 1998, zero zero approached to Japan-based wicked production "LYCHEE SOUNDS"(here you are!). LYCHEE SOUNDS decided to release three 12" continuously and starts the project named "New Agean Movement" in July.
At last pt.3 of three released in December. Both three singles hit in house/techno/trance/funk scenes. It ranked 8th on TV dance music chart "Future Tracks" and 14th on "LOUD" magazine. Now zero zero becomes famous not only underground.
来年にはNAMより２曲がライセンスされ99dergees(UK)よりリリースされるほか、２月6日にはミックスアルバム"New Agean Movement CD"、同時に"EASTWARDS"のシングルカット12"がリリース。
また、２月発売の日の丸レコードのコンピレーションに"Paradisco"が収録される。
DJでもClub Cafe NEOでレギュラーパーティーが始まることが決定、破竹の勢いでシーンに新風を吹き込む。
February 1999, they will release "New Agean Movement CD" and 12" of "EASTWARDS" with new mixes.
"Party Feelin"&"PHASE 02" will release from 99 degrees(UK).
"Paradisco" also lisenced to CD compilation by Hinomaru Records.
